Job summary

Blackburn College invites applications for a Lecturer in ESOL to deliver courses to diverse learners in FE settings, including international students, commercial placements and external provision from outside agencies. Teaching both full-time and part-time learners in offsite, workplace and vocational settings.

Applicants should have a Level 5 teaching qualification (or working towards) and a Level 5 ESOL qualification, with GCSE English and Maths (4+) evidence. FE/ESOL experience is essential.

Qualifications

• You should have a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification or be willing to work towards it.
• You must have a Level 5 ESOL qualification or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience of teaching in a further education environment and ESOL, ideally in varied settings (commercial, Job Centre Plus, NEET or similar).
• Original certificates of GCSE English and Maths (grade 4 or above) or UK equivalent are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ESOL to a variety of learners at all levels, including international learners and external provision.
• Teach both full-time and part-time learners in settings including offsite/workplace/vocational.
