Job summary

Blackburn College is seeking a part-time hourly paid lecturer to deliver ESOL, Digital Skills, Employability, and Numeracy up to Level 2 to adult learners and 16-18 ESOL learners. You will plan and teach clearly structured lessons, adapting to diverse needs, with teaching conducted at college and community venues throughout the year.

You will promote courses, maintain high professional standards in teaching and learner support, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at C/4 or above.
• Level 5 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards.
• Level 4/5 subject specialist qualification in ESOL, ICT, Numeracy or Employability.
• Ability to show up-to-date knowledge of subject developments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality learning to adult learners and ESOL learners up to Level 2.
• Plan and teach clearly structured lessons for diverse needs.
• Teach in college and community venues across the year.
• Support course promotion and uphold professional standards.
