Job summary

Uxbridge College is seeking a full-time Lecturer in ESOL to teach on full- and part-time ESOL courses for young learners (16-18) and adults, from Pre-Entry to Level 2, including group tutorials, maths, vocational and ICT.

You will hold a degree (or Level 3 in a relevant vocational area) with an approved English Language Specialist Teaching qualification (CELTA / Cert TESOL) and have ESOL teaching experience; evening classes (6pm-9pm) and campus travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree (or Level 3) in a relevant vocational area and an approved English Language Specialist Teaching qualification (CELTA/ Cert TESOL).
• Experience teaching ESOL, preferably in a Further Education setting to adults and young learners.
• If you do not possess a full FE teaching qualification, the College will support you to obtain the Level 5 teaching qualification.

Responsibilities

• Teach on full and part-time ESOL courses for young learners (16-18) and adults.
• Deliver across levels from Pre-Entry to Level 2, including group tutorials, maths, vocational and ICT.
• Possibility of evening classes (6pm - 9pm) and travel to Uxbridge Campus when required.
