Job summary

GM Performance Power Units is seeking an ESME Application Engineer to join our Nottingham engineering team. The role focuses on safely building high-performance battery systems with an emphasis on quality and Built-In Safety.

You will lead manufacturing process design for Energy Store components, develop in-process and end-of-line QA procedures, and collaborate with the ERS Assembly Manager and HV Safety Supervisor to meet safety, quality, and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 2+ years in battery pack assembly engineering or similar.
• Experience with robotics programming and industrial automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of ES/ESME manufacturing processes.
• Design production processes with safety as a priority.
• Develop in-process and end-of-line quality procedures.
• Contribute to design of ES and ESME for Built-In Quality.
• Perform root-cause analysis and document learnings.
• Create and maintain manufacturing operation work instructions.
• Collaborate with ERS Assembly Manager and HV Safety Supervisor to meet standards.
