Job summary

Perenco, a leading independent hydrocarbon producer, seeks an ESG Reporting Officer to lead the development and implementation of the group's ESG framework, focusing on robust reporting, regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement.

The role collaborates with senior management across functions to monitor progress against ESG objectives, ensure data integrity, and embed ESG considerations into planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant ESG, sustainability, risk management, or corporate reporting experience.
• Familiarity with ESG frameworks such as GRI, ISSB, CSRD/ESRS, TCFD, or SASB.
• Fluent in English and French is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, development and periodic review of the ESG strategy and objectives.
• Monitor progress against ESG targets and identify improvement opportunities.
• Integrate ESG considerations into business processes and decision-making across functions.
• Oversee ESG data collection, validation and consolidation across units.
• Prepare internal and external sustainability reports in accordance with reporting frameworks.
• Support compliance with ESG regulatory and reporting obligations (EU CSRD, etc.).
• Coordinate responses to ESG information requests from stakeholders.
• Support governance frameworks and present ESG performance to senior management.
