The Opportunity Hub UK Ltd in Glasgow is seeking an ESG Consultant to advance sustainability in the AgriTech sector. You’ll convert carbon accounting and ESG data into practical plans for clients, while monitoring UK/EU regulations and guiding certification and investor due diligence.
You’ll work with agronomists, data teams and account managers to deliver grounded insights, with hybrid work between the Glasgow office and home and development support.
Perfect role for a mid professional looking to grow their AgriTech career in Glasgow.
Agriculture is under more scrutiny than almost any other sector right now. Supply chains, land use, emissions reporting, all of it under a microscope from regulators, investors and buyers alike. This ESG Consultant role sits inside an established AgriTech SME that's grown steadily and now needs someone who can turn sustainability requirements into practical, workable plans for the businesses it serves.
Assess ESG performance across client operations and supply chains, from carbon footprinting to land and water use
Write clear, evidence-based reports that translate technical findings into decisions clients can actually act on
Track evolving UK and EU sustainability regulation and flag what it means for AgriTech clients specifically
Support clients through certification processes and investor due diligence on environmental and social criteria
Build and maintain ESG data frameworks, making sure the numbers hold up under scrutiny
Work alongside agronomists, data teams and account managers to keep ESG advice grounded in what's actually happening on the ground
A few years' experience in ESG, sustainability consulting, or environmental compliance, ideally with exposure to agriculture or food supply chains
Solid grasp of carbon accounting methodologies and ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, TCFD, SASB or similar)
Comfortable with data. You'll be pulling insight from spreadsheets and turning it into something a client can use
Confident communicator who can explain a regulatory requirement to someone with zero patience for jargon
A degree in environmental science, sustainability, agriculture or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Genuinely curious about AgriTech. This isn't a role for someone who just wants an ESG title on a CV
Salary of £31,000 to £46,000, depending on experience
Hybrid working, with time split between the Glasgow office and home
Private medical insurance and pension contribution
Annual leave plus flexible working arrangements
Bonus scheme and genuine professional development support, not just a line in the handbook
AgriTech is one of the few sectors where sustainability isn't a bolt-on, it's the whole point. Scotland's food and farming industry is investing heavily in this space, and Glasgow has become a real base for companies doing that work seriously rather than performatively. Get in as an ESG Consultant now and there's a clear runway upward, into senior advisory or specialist technical roles, as the industry m
