Job summary

The Opportunity Hub UK Ltd in Glasgow is seeking an ESG Consultant to advance sustainability in the AgriTech sector. You’ll convert carbon accounting and ESG data into practical plans for clients, while monitoring UK/EU regulations and guiding certification and investor due diligence.

You’ll work with agronomists, data teams and account managers to deliver grounded insights, with hybrid work between the Glasgow office and home and development support.

Qualifications

• A few years' experience in ESG, sustainability consulting, or environmental compliance, ideally with exposure to agriculture or food supply chains.
• Solid grasp of carbon accounting methodologies and ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, TCFD, SASB or similar).
• Comfortable with data; able to translate insights from spreadsheets into client-ready outputs.
• Confident communicator who can explain regulatory requirements to non-experts.
• Degree in environmental science, sustainability, agriculture or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Genuinely curious about AgriTech and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Assess ESG performance across client operations and supply chains, from carbon footprinting to land and water use.
• Write clear, evidence-based reports that translate technical findings into decisions clients can act on.
• Track evolving UK and EU sustainability regulation and flag implications for AgriTech clients.
• Support clients through certification processes and investor due diligence on environmental and social criteria.
• Build and maintain ESG data frameworks, ensuring numbers hold up under scrutiny.
• Collaborate with agronomists, data teams and account managers to keep ESG advice grounded in reality.
