Job summary

Otis is seeking an experienced escalator call-out and repair engineer to join the Transport for London team in London. You'll maintain a portfolio of escalator units to ensure passenger safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include on-site breakdown repair, first-time fixes, and direct customer liaison within the London Underground network. NVQ Level 3 Escalator Engineering and UK driving licence are required, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Escalator Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant service and maintenance experience on escalators.
• Valid UK driving licence required.
• Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
• Effective on-site communication with customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out breakdown and repair work on escalators within the portfolio to keep operation going.
• Work on-site within the London Underground network and manage the escalator portfolio.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns with a focus on first-time fixes.
• Liaise directly with customers on site to build a constructive working relationship.
