Job summary

Otis Limited is seeking an experienced escalator engineer to join our Transport for London team, covering our London Underground escalator portfolio. You will be responsible for maintaining escalator units to ensure passenger safety and continuous operation, including breakdown repairs and proactive site liaison.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Lift/Escalator Engineering, the ability to work nights Sunday to Thursday 11pm–7am, and a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Lift and/or Escalator Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering skills.
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out breakdown and repair work on site escalators within the portfolio.
• Work within London Underground network, managing the portfolio of escalators.
• Respond quickly to fix breakdowns, aiming for first time fix.
• Liaise directly with customers on site to build good working relationships.
