Job summary

Magna International Inc. is seeking an IT Solutions Engineer to support and develop the QAD 2014SE ERP environment within our manufacturing operations in the UK. You will work closely with business users, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver scalable ERP solutions.

The role requires strong QAD/OpenEdge and Linux administration skills, plus EDI integrations and manufacturing ERP experience. You will participate in upgrades, testing, and deployment activities while documenting procedures and best

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' experience supporting and developing QAD 2014SE.
Strong experience with Progress OpenEdge / ABL (4GL) and Progress Database Administration.
Linux administration and troubleshooting expertise.
EDI systems and integrations knowledge.
Experience supporting manufacturing ERP processes and enterprise application integration concepts.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Provide administration, support, maintenance, and enhancement of the QAD 2014SE ERP environment.
Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and deliver scalable ERP solutions.
Support ERP modules including Manufacturing, Planning, Inventory Management, Purchasing, Sales Order Processing, Logistics and Finance interfaces.
Maintain and optimise Progress OpenEdge databases; perform backups and DR activities.
Develop and maintain EDI transactions and integrate QAD with external applications.
Administer Linux servers; monitor health, performance, security and capacity.
Identify opportunities to automate business processes and participate in digital transformation initiatives.
Produce technical documentation and support procedures.
