Job summary

Jackie Kerr Recruitment is seeking a Production Systems Engineer to maintain and modernise our production systems, including bespoke databases and front ends, with a major upgrade to MRP/ERP. You will work with hardware and firmware teams to deliver production tests and integrations, while guiding migration from legacy systems.

You will diagnose faults, implement automated tests, and support core business applications during platform modernization, ensuring CE compliance and robust data

Qualifications

• Experience with designing programmes that test hardware and firmware.
• Experience integrating MRP/ERP with in-house systems and databases.
• Knowledge of CE marking and product compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve existing proprietary systems (databases, frontends, reporting).
• Work with hardware and firmware engineers to develop production/test solutions.
• Diagnose faults across production systems, fix and mitigate recurrence.
• Introduce automated and unit testing to improve reliability.
• Support business-critical applications while modernising legacy solutions.
• ERP/MRP modernisation and implementation.
• Integrate in-house systems with new MRP system.
• Design, develop, validate and maintain production test software and integrations.
• Identify legacy processes that can be automated or eliminated.
• Work within product compliance requirements including CE marking.
• Report to Operations and Finance Manager and liaise with multiple teams.
