Job summary

Evolve Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Production Planner to support manufacturing operations in Reading. The role focuses on building and maintaining capacity planning models and ensuring the MRP system is accurate and aligned with customer requirements and production schedules.

The position requires experience in production or supply chain environments, with a strong emphasis on lean planning and production control techniques such as Kanban and Push/Pull.

Qualifications

• DV clearance required
• Experience in production or supply chain environments
• Ability to create and maintain capacity planning models
• Ability to detail plan methods of manufacture with cost and quality in mind
• Maintenance of accurate MRP data
• Knowledge of lean planning and production control practices

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Rough Cut Capacity Planning models.
• Detail plan methods of manufacture against time, cost and quality.
• Keep the local MRP system updated and accurate.
• Plan and release customer requirements to manufacturing within timescales.
• Provide manufacturing cost estimates and challenge operation times.
• Ensure inventory control processes are followed.
• Apply Lean Planning and Production Control practices (visual management, Kanban, Push/Pull).
• Work in an operational production or supply chain environment.
