Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Broughton, North Wales, is seeking an Ergonomist to join the Manufacturing Engineering team on a permanent basis. The role focuses on optimizing human working conditions and improving system performance across tooling and processes.

You will perform risk assessments, develop ergonomics action plans, and collaborate with Operations, Design Engineering and Health & Safety to deliver tangible improvements on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in Ergonomics/Human Factors (accredited body).
• Working towards CIEHF membership or accredited equivalent.
• Strong background in human factor sciences, biomechanics and cognition.
• Experience identifying ergonomic risk factors and proposing mitigations.
• Experience in safety standards, risk ratings and technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Increase efficiency and minimise the negative impact of work packages on people and systems.
• Perform ergonomics work analysis of Assembly/Installation activities.
• Identify workplace ergonomic risk factors and propose mitigations.
• Support ergonomics action plans aligned with industrial strategy.
• Define specifications, calls for tenders and pilot outsourced work.
