Job summary

Lucy Walker Recruitment Limited is assisting a Leeds-based client to hire an experienced HR Officer. This generalist role covers Employee Relations, Recruitment, Policies and Procedures, supporting across multiple sites in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will come from manufacturing or retail, lead a large team, and be hands-on. You will travel weekly and work on-site in a busy office setting, contributing to people-focused initiatives.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualified or 4+ years hands on experience within a decision-making HR role.
• Driving Licence.
• Proven experience with managing Employee Relations.
• Experience of relationship building and challenging situations with the right approach, to ensure a satisfactory resolution.
• Strong coaching and leadership skills.
• Superb communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with management and coach within all areas of HR.
• Handle Employee Relations, HR policies and processes with engagement focus.
• Manage key HR projects.
• Talent Management including succession planning, recruitment, L&D coaching.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and confident HR Officer to join one of our leading Leeds based clients. You will help drive effective, legally compliant, and people-focused practices across multiple sites.

This is a generalist role covering Employee Relations, Recruitment, Polices and Procedures - and you will support across exciting projects. A varied and fast paced role.

Ideally you will come from a manufacturing or retail background. You will be responsible for a large team. If you are a hands-on HR professional, looking for your next challenge and want to be part of a friendly team.

You must be able to drive for this role due to the weekly travel involved.

This role is fully office based/on site

Key Duties and responsibilities:

• Working proactively to build relationships with management, guiding and coaching within all areas of HR.
• Employee Relations throughout the business, HR policies and processes in addition to having an engagement focus
• Responsible for key HR projects
• Talent Management: succession planning, recruitment, L&D projects - coaching and mentoring
• Responsible for managing absence, sickness and looking at staff attendanceSkills & Experience:
