Job description

Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Employee Relations professional looking for your next challenge? Do you enjoy managing complex ER cases, coaching managers and improving processes in a changing environment?

My client is recruiting two Employee Relations Advisors to join a growing, evolving ER function within a multi-business organisation.

These are newly created roles offering the opportunity to make a real impact, influence how ER is delivered and help shape a more consistent, effective and collaborative approach across the wider group.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing end-to-end ER cases, including absence management, performance concerns, grievances, disciplinaries and appeals.
  • Independently managing complex cases, providing clear, pragmatic and commercially aware advice.
  • Coaching and supporting managers to build their confidence and capability in handling ER matters.
  • Supporting the review, development and harmonisation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve ER processes, consistency and ways of working.
  • Producing monthly ER reports, identifying trends and using insights to support proactive people planning.
  • Working collaboratively with HR Business Partners and stakeholders across multiple businesses, each with its own culture, policies and terms and conditions.
What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from experienced ER Advisors & ER Specialists whose experience is predominantly focused on Employee Relations.

You’ll ideally bring:
  • Strong, hands-on experience managing a high-volume ER caseload.
  • Confidence handling complex cases independently, knowing when to seek additional support.
  • A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships and coach managers through challenging situations.
  • Confidence working in an environment where processes are evolving and not everything is fully established.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the confidence to challenge constructively and suggest improvements.
  • The motivation to roll up your sleeves, get involved and make a genuine difference.
  • CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential. Experience across any industry will be considered.
Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is more than a traditional ER Advisor role. It’s an opportunity to join a function that is actively developing, with plenty of scope to contribute ideas, improve processes and influence the future of Employee Relations.

You’ll benefit from:
  • Newly created positions within a growing ER team.
  • Real autonomy to manage your caseload and make an impact.
  • The opportunity to shape and improve policies, processes and working practices.
  • Exposure to a broad range of complex ER matters across multiple businesses.
  • A collaborative, supportive environment with a focus on coaching and development.
  • Potential future career progression as the function continues to grow.
  • A flexible hybrid working arrangement, with just two days per week in the office and minimal travel.
