Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking an experienced ER Advisor to join our Central People team, managing end-to-end employee relations cases across our national care network and advising managers on employment law.

You will work in a collaborative, supportive function, upholding high standards and pursuing continuous improvement while developing professional capability in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an ER or People Advisor role.

Responsibilities

• Managing end-to-end employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence matters.
• Advising managers on safeguarding issues in line with care sector standards.
• Ensuring consistent application of People policies and employment law across the business.
• Contributing to the review and development of People policies and processes.
• Maintaining accurate case documentation in line with legal and organisational standards.
• Working closely with People Business Partners, Safeguarding, L&D and Operational leaders.

We're now looking for an ER Advisor to join our Central People team, providing expert ER support across our national care network.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing end-to-end employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence matters


• Advising managers on safeguarding issues in line with care sector standards


• Ensuring consistent application of People policies and employment law across the business


• Contributing to the review and development of People policies and processes


• Maintaining accurate case documentation in line with legal and organisational standards


• Working closely with People Business Partners, Safeguarding, L&D and Operational leaders

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Proven experience in an ER or People Advisor role managing complex, high-volume caseloads


• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice


• Experience working in a fast-paced, regulated environment


• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels


• Strong organisation, judgement and attention to detail


• CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards)


• Full UK driving licence and access to a car
