Job summary

Suffolk New College Rural campus in Otley, Suffolk is seeking a part-time Equine Welfare Assistant to support weekend yard duties, riding and horse care on the equine yard. You will be trained to operate specialist equipment and may travel between campuses for training.

DBS checks and safeguarding responsibilities apply. Applicants should have a Level 2 Equine Qualification, a good educational background, and a willingness to work alternate Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 2 Equine Qualification.
• Good standard of education.
• Be able to work alternate weekends on a Saturday and Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Assist with weekend general yard duties, riding and caring for the horses on the equine yard.
• Training to use specialist equipment.
• May need to travel between Suffolk New College campuses for staff training.
