Job summary

Hartpury University and Hartpury College are seeking a dedicated Equine Centre assistant to support the Equine Department. You will supervise students, assist with practical tasks, supervise liveries, and help manage the yard, while ensuring high welfare and safety standards.

This role includes on-site accommodation, CPD training and opportunities to host equine events throughout the year. You will work 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7, and contribute to delivering top-class experiences for

• Team player with high standards of horse care and welfare.
• Excellent communication skills and positive, flexible approach.
• Interest in developing riding ability with staff lessons.

Responsibilities

• Support the Equine Department in providing a safe, professional experience for students, clients and visitors.
• Supervise students during practical tasks and yard activities; monitor liveries.
• Assist with management of student and full liveries; promote high care standards.
• Maintain a safe, organised environment in line with health and safety requirements.
