Precept Recruit is seeking an experienced EPOS Field Engineer to support a range of retail, hospitality and leisure customers across the UK. Based from Wolverhampton, this field-based role combines break-fix support with installation and deployment projects, offering a varied workload.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' field-based engineering experience in retail/hospitality/leisure is essential.
• Experience diagnosing EPOS, PCs and IP networking and installing IT equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding with excellent customer service.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload; full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair EPOS, IT and networking equipment.
• Attend customer sites to resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure and test new EPOS and IT systems.
• Carry out structured cabling and Wi‑Fi fault investigations.
• Conduct site surveys for upgrades and installations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on customer equipment.
• Support project rollouts and technology deployments.
• Provide a professional, customer-focused service at all times.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning and project management teams.

What You'll Be Doing

• Diagnosing and repairing EPOS, IT and networking equipment
• Attending customer sites to resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Minimum 6 months' experience in a field-based customer service engineering role, ideally in the retail/hospitality/leisure industry
• Knowledge of EPOS systems, PCs, peripherals and IP networking
• Experience installing and supporting IT equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

• Experience within retail, hospitality, leisure or field service environments
• Wi-Fi troubleshooting and structured cabling experience
• Experience supporting multi-site customer environments

Important Information
