Job summary

Precept Recruit is seeking an EPOS Field Engineer based from Telford to service retail, hospitality and leisure customers across the UK. The role combines hands-on break-fix support with installation and deployment work, offering variety and ongoing professional development.

You will diagnose and repair EPOS and IT systems, travel to sites, install and test new equipment, and provide excellent customer service while working with project teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ months field-based customer service engineering experience, preferably in retail/hospitality/leisure
• Experience with EPOS systems, PCs, peripherals and IP networking
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills

Responsibilities

• Attending customer sites to resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues
• Installing, configuring and testing new EPOS and IT systems
• Carrying out structured cabling and Wi-Fi fault investigations

Are you an experienced EPOS Field Engineer or IT Field Service Engineer looking for your next challenge?

We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused EPOS Field Engineer to support a range of retail, hospitality, and leisure customers across the UK. Based from Telford, this field-based role combines hands-on break-fix support with installation and deployment projects, giving you a varied and rewarding workload.

What You'll Be Doing

• Diagnosing and repairing EPOS, IT and networking equipment

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Minimum 6 months' experience in a field-based customer service engineering role, ideally in the retail/hospitality/leisure industry
• Knowledge of EPOS systems, PCs, peripherals and IP networking
• Experience installing and supporting IT equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

• Experience within retail, hospitality, leisure or field service environments
• Wi-Fi troubleshooting and structured cabling experience
• Experience supporting multi-site customer environments
