Job summary

Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Taurus Epic application analyst to optimise and support the Taurus EPR system. You will work with clinicians, departmental leaders and IT to implement, maintain and improve Taurus applications ensuring patient care is safe and efficient.

Accreditation in at least one Epic application is essential. This hybrid role requires 50% on-site presence and close collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Certification in at least one Epic application.
• Degree level or equivalent.
• Evidence of personal and professional development.
• Undertaking or wish to undertake further training to enhance professional development.

Responsibilities

• Have a certification in an application module in at least one Epic service area or working towards gaining certification.
• Support with the analysing and documenting of local workflows, data collection and reporting requirements.
• Translate stakeholders' requirements into system configuration under guidance of the Senior Analyst.
• Ensure the system is configured to meet new ‘best practice’ ways of working across the whole patient pathway.
• Apply Epic build and design knowledge to analyse current business practices and provide workflow solutions.
• Support on designated integrated areas (testing, printing, business continuity) to coordinate across teams.
• Work with the team to solve problems in workflows and system build not previously encountered by Epic.
• Plan, design, and execute user testing efforts and track deadlines.
