Job summary

YTL UK is seeking a Sewage Misuse Prevention Operative to help prevent pollution by inspecting surface water outfalls and sewers for misconnections. You will record findings and work with property owners to correct issues, focusing on safety and public protection.

The role involves following up misconnections, investigating reported incidents, and coordinating with third parties to address pollution or discharges, while maintaining high standards of public liaison and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Understanding of sewerage networks and drainage.
• Good IT knowledge and experience using Excel and Teams.
• Ability to think methodically and break down problems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect surface water outfalls and sewers to identify misconnections and record findings.
• Follow up on private misconnections to ensure correction and investigate incidents.
• Investigate pollutions or unauthorised discharges with third parties.
• Liaise with property owners to advise and produce forms to correct misconnections.
