Job summary

South West Water Limited is seeking a Catchment Operator to inspect, maintain and improve the sewerage network while working with customers in the Exeter area. The role is full-time and permanent, with a competitive salary and standby allowances.

You will handle rapid responses to pollution events, blockages, CCTV surveys and maintenance of pumping stations, contributing to environmental compliance and high quality service.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs including Maths, English and a Science subject.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Happy working outside in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Rapid response to pollution and flooding events.
• Blockage clearance and investigation of underlying causes.
• CCTV survey of pipework and asset investigation.
• Maintenance of small sewage pumping stations and CSOs.
• On-site problem solving, ensuring high service levels and calm communication.
