Job summary

Mott MacDonald in the UK is expanding its Environmental and Sustainability Services team. As an Environmental Consultant you will work within a multidisciplinary group, leading environmental appraisals from feasibility through to EIA, across planning regimes, coordinating specialists and liaising with clients and regulators.

You will shape place-based solutions to support net-zero targets, manage environmental risks, and contribute to the delivery of large infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic/professional qualifications.
• Working towards chartership through a relevant organisation.
• Experience of EIA and UK legislation.
• Successful track record in environmental management on large infrastructure projects.
• Flexibility to spend time away from home base as needed.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Strong IT skills.
• Excellent self-starting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate projects from early feasibility and environmental appraisal to full Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
• Prepare and deliver environmental appraisals and assessments and programme EIA processes.
• Coordinate environmental, social and sustainability specialists and manage risks.
• Shape place-based solutions to support net-zero commitments and nature-based solutions.
