Job summary

Stratford-on-Avon District Council is seeking an Environmental & Operational Services Officer to oversee waste collection, street cleansing and grounds maintenance. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, value-for-money public services across Stratford-on-Avon District.

You will work with contractors, local stakeholders, and internal teams to reduce waste, improve recycling and maintain a clean environment. Excellent communication and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste, recycling or street cleansing services is desirable.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to engage with diverse audiences and build partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead on monitoring the delivery of contracted waste collection, street cleansing and grounds maintenance services.
• Patrol and enforce the Council’s public open spaces and car parks.
• Support the Environmental and Operational Services Team Leader to ensure contractors deliver value-for-money services that meet public needs.
