Job summary

Brett Group, the UK’s leading building materials company, is seeking an Environmental Monitor to join our operations across multiple sites. You will perform monitoring, sampling and testing to our standards, ensure compliance, record and report data, maintain equipment and contribute to continuous improvement.

The role requires practical problem-solving, attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication.
• Good numeracy and data handling skills.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Planning and organisational skills.
• Practical problem-solving ability.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental responsibilities.
• Full current UK driving licence.
• Physically capable of working outdoors and undertaking manual tasks.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and travel extensively.
• GCSE Level 4 in English and Maths.

Responsibilities

• Provision of accurate environmental monitoring and quality sampling/testing completed to approved standards and frequencies.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental permits, planning conditions, quality management systems and product certification requirements.
• Providing timely and accurate recording, analysis and reporting of environmental and quality data.
• Ensuring well-maintained, calibrated and fit-for-purpose monitoring and testing equipment.
• Adopting safe, environmentally responsible and quality-focused working practices.
