Job Title: Environmental Manager

Location: Wakefield/Warrington/Birmingham/Leeds/Manchester and surrounding areas

Salary: up to £60,000 + car allowance

Working pattern: Site based with regular travel across the Midlands, Yorkshire, and Northeast/West

About the Role

HSE Recruitment Network is seeking an experienced and organized Environmental Manager to join a forward-thinking construction company delivering high-quality projects across diverse sectors. The role involves site-based compliance checks and audits to ensure adherence to environmental legislation and company standards.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide practical support for environmental management across various construction projects, advising on best practices.
  2. Work closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to identify environmental risks, develop mitigation strategies, and promote sustainable practices.
  3. Prepare detailed reports on compliance audits, non-conformities, and recommendations.
  4. Serve as the primary environmental liaison on-site, offering guidance, resolving queries, and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility through training and communication.
  5. Monitor legislative updates and industry guidelines, analyze their implications, and communicate changes effectively.
  6. Demonstrated experience in environmental management within construction.
  7. Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and its application on construction sites.
