Job description

Sharper Consulting Services is seeking a qualified Environmental Health Officer (EHO) on behalf of our client in the Scottish Lowlands for a short-term contract within the commercial food safety team.

Contract Details:

1. Duration: 6-12 weeks (Part-time or Full-time)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct food safety and food standards inspections.
• Respond to complaints and enquiries related to food safety.
• Perform infectious disease and health and safety investigations.
• Carry out intervention work as required.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Substantial experience conducting food inspections for a local authority.
• Maintain an up-to-date competency matrix and engage in continuous professional development (CPD).
• Hold a BSc/MSc in Environmental Health with REHIS/EHORB (or equivalent) registration.
• Proven experience in environmental health, specifically food safety inspections.
