Job Description
Based at Bruce House, Wellgate, Arbroath.
This job is Workstyle 4 – Hybrid.
You will benefit from our flexible and agile working practices, allowing you to work from various locations, including council buildings, service user locations, site visits, and from home, to best suit your work, meetings, and collaboration.
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Environmental Health Officer to join our dynamic Food and Safety team.
Within Angus Council’s Environmental Health Service, you will play a key role in protecting public health and ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety legislation across the area.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive team, where your professional skills and judgment will be highly valued. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, investigating complaints, responding to food safety incidents, and proactively working with local businesses to promote best practices in food hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
About You:
You should be a qualified Environmental Health Officer, holding the REHIS Diploma or equivalent. Ideally, you will have experience working within local government and a good working knowledge of Scottish food law and health and safety legislation.
