Job description

Sharper Consulting Services is looking on behalf of our client in the Scottish Lowlands for an EHO to work in the commercial food & safety team on a short-term contract basis.

Expected contract length: 6-12 weeks (Part-time or Full-time)

You will be experienced in carrying out food safety and food standards inspections, responding to complaints and enquiries. In addition, you will conduct infectious disease & health and safety investigations and intervention work.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate substantial experience in conducting food inspections on behalf of a local authority.
  • Maintain a fully up-to-date competency matrix and engage in continuous professional development (CPD) to stay abreast of the latest developments in food safety regulations and practices.
  • Hold either a BSc/MSc in Environmental Health with REHIS/EHORB (or equivalent) registration.
  • Proven experience in the field of environmental health, specifically in food safety inspections.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant legislation and regulations governing food safety.
