We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Environmental Health Officer to join our high-performing Food and Safety team.
This role offers you the chance as a qualified environmental health officer to engage in regulatory and advisory activities to ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety legislation. Your communication skills will enable you to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services and achieve positive public health outcomes. You will act as a resource of expertise in one or more specialist areas, enforce food safety and health & safety laws, conduct interventions, investigate complaints and infectious diseases, manage private water supplies, and provide business advice.
The team has developed commercial services and established Primary Authority partnerships with national businesses. This role involves working with current and future partners, offering a dynamic environment for professional development.
The position is based in Peterborough, with a Shared Service arrangement with Rutland County Council, requiring collaboration with colleagues in Oakham, Rutland. The diverse demographic and geographic context makes it an ideal setting for professional growth.
