Job Description:

MCS Group is looking for a proactive and skilled Environmental & Facilities Engineer to support the management and maintenance of all on-site facilities and services for a leading manufacturing company based in Nottingham.

In this diverse role, you'll work across plant infrastructure, environmental systems, and site services, delivering improvements in compliance, cost, and efficiency.

You will:

• Ensure all plant and facility systems comply with relevant legislation and industry standards.
• Manage service contracts including water, compressors, forklifts, cranes, heating, and waste management.
• Develop and maintain environmental databases for reporting and investigate environmental incidents.
• Lead internal environmental audits and support external compliance activities (e.g., ISO 14001, PPC).
• Drive initiatives to reduce energy use, waste, and environmental impact.
• Coordinate with suppliers for equipment and service sourcing.
• Prepare technical specifications, review tenders, and present capital expenditure proposals.
• Engage with regulatory bodies for audits, reporting, permits, and funding.
• Identify and lead implementation of cost-saving projects.
• Conduct risk and compliance assessments across environmental and facilities operations.

Criteria:

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 14001, PPC).
