Job summary

MBDA UK is seeking an Environmental Domain Lead (Mechanical and Climatic) to own environmental strategies and delivery across land, sea, and air defence projects. You will coordinate work with ISV, Systems, Mechanical Analysis, Architecture, and QA, leading a team of up to five engineers.

You will engage senior stakeholders to resolve environmental challenges and influence design, manufacturing, and proving across MBDA UK's portfolio.

Qualifications

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Proven experience of planning, managing, implementing & delivering strategies on time, on cost, on quality
Proven management and delegation of work package budgets and associated risk
Knowledge of environmental engineering within the defence sector or relevant industry
Knowledge of the Mechanical & Climatic environments, and their applicability to different products at different life cycle stages
An understanding of environmental test processes, test measurements and instrumentation
Awareness of Environmental Engineering Standards (such as DEF STAN 00-035, Mil Std 810)
An innovative mind set to develop methods around requirement definition and weapon system proving
Working knowledge and experience using Project Management tools
Experience of requirement definition and management using DOORS
