Job summary

MBDA UK is seeking an Environmental Domain Lead to define and deliver environmental engineering activities across mechanical and climatic domains. You will own strategies from requirements to certification and coordinate with ISV, Systems, Mechanical Analysis, Architecture and Quality teams.

You will lead a team of engineers, manage risks and schedules, and interact with senior project heads to resolve challenges while shaping our environmental engineering roadmap and ensuring alignment with

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience planning, managing, implementing & delivering strategies on time, cost, quality.
• Proven management and delegation of work package budgets and risk.
• Knowledge of environmental engineering in defence or related industry.
• Knowledge of Mechanical & Climatic environments and life cycle stages.
• Understanding of environmental test processes and instrumentation.
• Awareness of Environmental Engineering Standards (DEF STAN 00-035, Mil Std 810).
• Innovative mindset to develop methods for requirements and weapon system proving.
• Experience of requirement definition and management using DOORS.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver Environmental Engineering activities from requirements through proving and certification.
• Own strategies to support flow of requirements from design to proving across MBDA UK.
• Lead environmental working groups and coordinate with ISV, Systems, Mechanical Analysis, Architecture, Quality and external parties.
• Manage risk, schedules and budgets for the Environmental (M&C) Domain.
• Engage with senior leaders to resolve environmental engineering challenges and align with project goals.
