Job summary

Matchtech Group invites an Environmental Manager to lead day-to-day environmental delivery across projects. You will partner with Project Managers, site teams, Environmental Advisors and client representatives to manage risk, compliance and culture from the outset.

You will manage permits, licences and consents, produce and maintain documentation (including CEMPs), identify risks and implement mitigations, and coordinate ecology, archaeology and water environment requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong environmental management experience in construction/infrastructure.
• Solid knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance.
• Experience with ISO 14001 EMS and permits/licences.
• Experience coordinating with ecology, archaeology and water environment specialists.
• Proven ability to write and manage consents, licences and applications.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental delivery across projects on a day-to-day basis.
• Manage environmental permits, licences, consents and approvals.
• Produce and maintain documentation including CEMPs.
• Identify environmental risks and ensure mitigations are implemented.
• Coordinate ecology, environmental and archaeological requirements.
• Carry out audits, inspections and compliance reporting.
• Support sustainability objectives and drive improvements in environmental performance.
• Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, landowners and stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and support to Environmental Advisors and ECoWs.
