Job Description
Environmental Compliance & Reporting Specialist – Bedford (Hybrid) - Up to £45,000 DOE
One of the world's leading consumer brands is seeking an Environmental Compliance & Reporting Specialist to assist with all aspects of environmental reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile raw data from internal systems, logistics partners, waste and energy providers, ensuring precise conversion into reports in compliance with applicable legislation.
- Prepare Packaging, WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), and battery reports for all locations selling into the UK.
- Document site energy usage and procurement data during tender processes.
- Generate reports for government schemes such as ESOS (Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme) and SECR (Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting) for all sites and transport fleets.
- Maintain meticulous and organized records for inspection during ISO 14001 environmental audits.
- Coordinate with WEEE and battery waste providers for the safe removal of end-of-life products from the site and ensure the receipt of requisite certification.

- Complete environmental questionnaires for tenders businesses are bidding for.
- Receive and maintain comprehensive records on water and legionella management.

- Background in an environmental role or a broad understanding of environmental & sustainability practices & frameworks.
- Proficient in environmental reporting and analyzing complex environmental data.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Able to identify environmental challenges and devise creative & feasible solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to document processes, findings, and recommendations in an organized manner.
- Confidently communicate with management, external consultants, and government agencies.
