Job summary

Principal People Recruitment is seeking an Environmental Advisor for an infrastructure contractor delivering across Scotland. You will support live civils and utilities projects, visiting sites, advising on environmental controls and influencing project teams to meet compliance standards.

The role offers hybrid working, a salary up to £50,000, a car option or £5,000 car allowance, and a supportive environment with CPD opportunities across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Required: environmental qualification or related degree.
• Experience in construction, civils, utilities, water, power or infrastructure.
• Understanding of environmental legislation, management systems and risk assessment.
• IEMA membership, or progress towards it, would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Visit projects to identify environmental risks and advise site teams on workable controls.
• Carry out inspections and audits, support ISO 14001 compliance, and guide teams on waste management and environmental performance.
• Investigate incidents, agree corrective actions, deliver environmental briefings and liaise with client, regulators and supply chain partners.

Environmental Advisor up to £50,000 + Car Allowance - Infrastructure - Scotland

Want to spend more time on site helping teams solve environmental issues, with the flexibility of a hybrid role?

I m recruiting an Environmental Advisor for a contractor delivering a long-term infrastructure framework across Scotland. You ll support live civils and utilities projects, from mains replacement and network upgrades to capital projects. The role covers multiple sites and gives you the scope to work directly with project teams on practical environmental decisions.
You ll be part of a supportive environmental team, with colleagues to share ideas with and turn to for advice when you need it.
