Job summary

Principal People Recruitment is seeking an Environmental Advisor for a contractor delivering infrastructure across Scotland. You will visit live projects, identify environmental risks and advise site teams on practical controls, with a hybrid on/off-site pattern.

The role requires knowledge of environmental legislation, ISO 14001, and a related degree. IEMA membership is an advantage. On offer is up to £50,000, car allowance or company car, and a strong CPD focus.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, civils, utilities, water or infrastructure.
• An environmental qualification or related degree.
• Understanding of environmental legislation, management systems and risk assessment.
• IEMA membership or progress towards it would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections and audits, support ISO 14001 compliance, and guide waste management.
• Investigate incidents, deliver environmental briefings and liaise with regulators and supply chain partners.

Environmental Advisor up to £50,000 + Car Allowance - Infrastructure - Scotland

Want to spend more time on site helping teams solve environmental issues, with the flexibility of a hybrid role?

I m recruiting an Environmental Advisor for a contractor delivering a long-term infrastructure framework across Scotland. You ll support live civils and utilities projects, from mains replacement and network upgrades to capital projects. The role covers multiple sites and gives you the scope to work directly with project teams on practical environmental decisions.
You ll be part of a supportive environmental team, with colleagues to share ideas with and turn to for advice when you need it.

What you ll do

What you ll bring

• Understanding of environmental legislation, management systems and risk assessment, and be comfortable giving clear advice to operational teams.
