Job summary

Principal People is recruiting an Environmental Advisor to support major infrastructure projects across the Thames Valley on a hybrid basis. You will provide practical environmental advice to site teams and help embed compliant, sustainable practices.

The role offers progression opportunities with CPD, a competitive package including a car or £5,000 allowance plus mileage, pension, private medical insurance and long-term project exposure.

Qualifications

• Relevant environmental qualification (ISEP or equivalent) or degree.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure or utilities sectors.
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation and EMS.
• ISEP Practitioner membership is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental advice to site and operational teams on the framework.
• Support implementation of environmental strategies, policies and EMS.
• Conduct site inspections, environmental audits and compliance reviews.
• Investigate environmental incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor environmental performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist subcontractors and supply chain to meet environmental requirements.
• Build relationships with project teams, clients and external stakeholders.

Are you an Environmental Advisor looking for an opportunity to make a real impact on major infrastructure projects while developing your career with an established contractor?

Principal People are working with a leading infrastructure contractor, recognised for its commitment to employee development and career progression, to recruit an Environmental Advisor supporting projects across the Thames Valley on a hybrid basis.

Working alongside an experienced and supportive environmental team, you will play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance, driving improvements in standards and embedding best practices across projects.
