Shirley Parsons is partnering with a leading construction company, offering an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Sustainability Advisorto join their team. This role is based in Yorkshire and will support one of the UK’s most high-profile power projects. If you're passionate about environmental sustainability and ready to make a real impact, this opportunity is for you.

As an Environmental Sustainability Advisor, you will play a key part in delivering environmental and sustainability objectives across large-scale infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with teams both on-site and in the office, ensuring compliance with environmental standards while contributing to long-term sustainability goals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Support: Provide expert advice and guidance to operational teams on environmental issues.
  • Environmental Management: Develop and maintain local environmental management and sustainability plans.
  • Compliance & Coaching: Ensure on-site compliance with environmental legislation while coaching teams on controls and mitigation measures.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Incident Reporting: Investigate and report environmental incidents to the Environment & Sustainability Project Partner, ensuring proper actions are taken.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven experience in environmental management, ideally within the construction or related sectors. Familiarity with environmental legislation, ecology, and archaeology mitigation is desired.
  • Proactive & Results-Driven: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle challenges while delivering tangible environmental benefits.
  • Confident Communicator: Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels, advising on environmental strategy and best practices.
