SHEQ Manager – Health, Safety, Environment & Quality

Location: Leigh, Greater Manchester (covering NorthWest sites)

A Key Role in Driving Safety, Compliance, andContinuous Improvement

A well-established FacilitiesManagement service provider is seeking an experienced SHEQ Managerto lead and develop safety, health, environmental, and qualitystandards across multiple sites in the North West.

This is a high-impact role with real scope to influence SHEQstrategy, embed a strong safety culture, and support the delivery ofexcellence across the business. You’ll work closely with seniormanagement and project teams to ensure systems are not only compliantbut genuinely effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of SHEQ strategy acrossthe region, tailoring plans to project-specific needs
  • Ensurecompliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems
  • Carry out internal audits, site inspections, riskassessments, and incident investigations
  • Advise and supportoperational teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners on allSHEQ matters
  • Serve as the main point of contact for externalregulatory bodies such as the HSE and Environment Agency
  • Provide regular performance reports to senior leadership,identifying risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Activelypromote a positive safety culture through site visits, training, andstakeholder engagement

What We’re LookingFor

You’ll be a confident and collaborative SHEQprofessional with a strong understanding of compliance, operationalrisk, and best practice in FM or construction environments.

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar SHEQ role withinfacilities management, construction, or a related sector
  • Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, environmental, andquality legislation
  • Proven experience conducting audits andsupporting ISO compliance
  • NEBOSH General Certificate(required)
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or a Level 5/6Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (preferred)
