Johnson Matthey in Brimsdown is seeking an Entry Level Operator I to join a world leader in platinum group metals. You will contribute to safe operations, support production schedules and ensure timely delivery of quality product.

No prior experience required, but GCSEs and potential A-levels in engineering or science are desirable. The role emphasizes safety, documentation and continuous improvement within a large-scale manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

A minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent, including English, Maths and Science.
A minimum of 2 A-Levels, or equivalent, in an engineering or science related subject.
No prerequisite experience required but previous experience in the chemical process industry, engineering and/or manufacturing is desirable.
Understanding of large-scale complex manufacturing facilities/plants is desirable.

Responsibilities

Taking responsibility for your own safety, complying with safe working practices and following PPE directions.
Follow process-related documentation such as risk analyses, process instructions and standard work documents.
Support the operations team in performing operator activities and adhere to the production schedule to ensure on-time delivery of quality product.
Complete batch sheets and handovers to ensure continuous production.
Make suggestions for process improvements within your area of responsibility.
