Job summary

Yunex Traffic in Manchester is seeking an Entry Level Maintenance Engineer to diagnose faults on traffic signal assets and perform both reactive and proactive maintenance. The role includes site surveys, fault logging, and working with contractors to ensure safe, timely deliveries of services.

The ideal candidate will have GCSEs including Maths and English, reliability and flexibility, and a proactive attitude toward safety.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Mathematics and English (A-C/4-9) or equivalent.
• Reliability and flexibility to meet responsibilities.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Attend, diagnose and resolve faults on traffic signal assets and related equipment.
• Complete reactive and proactive maintenance tasks to high quality standards.
• Perform periodic inspections and electrical testing of assets.
• Install, replace and set up traffic signal assets and equipment, unsupervised or with a team.
• Complete remedial works following incidents and equipment issues.
• Build positive relationships with customers and co-operate with on-site contractors.
• Utilise hand/power tools safely and follow risk assessments and training.
• Submit clearance notes via Fault Management System and digital platforms.
• Assist the contract management team with site surveys and visits.
