Job summary

Yunex Traffic UK is seeking an entry-level Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support traffic signal and roadside technology maintenance across Greater Manchester, Liverpool City Region, Cheshire West & Chester, Warrington and Lancashire. Through a structured training programme you will learn from experienced engineers and develop skills in testing, diagnostics and commissioning.

You will gain hands-on experience with IP communications, electrical testing and reactive and planned maintenance

Qualifications

Electrical qualification(s) and hands-on engineering capability.
Experience with electrical testing and fault diagnosis is beneficial.
Willingness to learn and develop in traffic signal maintenance.
Comfortable using laptops/tablets for digital reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

Shadow experienced engineers and learn all aspects of traffic signal maintenance.
Assist with installation, maintenance and repair of traffic signal assets.
Carry out electrical testing, fault diagnosis and equipment inspections.
Complete cable testing and fault-finding activities.
Assist in setting up and commissioning IP communication systems.
Complete reactive maintenance and planned inspection activities.
Submit accurate job reports and site records.
Develop competence on Yunex and third-party equipment.
Support deployment of new technologies including AI camera systems and vehicle detection.
