Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a Junior Data Centre Technician to join a critical data centre in Farringdon, London, on a temp-to-perm basis. You will support network connectivity, server hardware, Microsoft 365 administration, and general data centre operations to ensure high-availability services.

Shift patterns include days and nights, 4 on 4 off, with hourly rates from £18-20 and salary up to £30k+ depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data centre operations and best practices.
• Experience in diagnosing network/server issues and providing IT support.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Build strong customer relationships by managing communications, projects, and service requests, providing timely updates and a consistently high level of service.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving network connectivity, server hardware, OS, software, and data centre infrastructure.
• Take ownership of complex technical issues and escalate when needed, collaborating with internal teams to deliver resolutions.
• Support IT operations, including hardware deployments, Microsoft 365 administration, user support, and helpdesk activities.
• Install and manage cross-connects and cabling, ensuring work aligns with data centre standards.
• Maintain accurate incident records, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in ticketing systems.
