Job summary

CBRE is seeking an ICT Shift Technician for its London Data Centre operations. You will support 24/7 shift coverage, handle rack mounting, cabling, and diagnostics while coordinating with clients and service managers.

Role requires experience with data centre gear and cross-connects, plus the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in operating Data Centre environments and hardware installation.
• Understanding of mechanical/electrical Data Centre configurations.
• SC Clearance or ability to pass and hold.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-scheduled and reactive operational workflow at Park Royal Data Centre or other locations.
• Plan efficient Data Centre space and cabinet utilisation per standards.
• Prepare quotations against defined standards and OLAs.
• Mount server, storage and network equipment in cabinets.
• Install Data Centre cabling per design docs and patch panels.
• Provide pre and post-sales support to related teams.
• Manage Remedy/ServiceNow tickets within OLAs or SLAs.
• Support governance and ensure non-compliances are resolved.
• Assist with incident/fault investigations and remedies.
• Prepare accurate reports for required audiences.
• Ensure repairs comply with current regulations.
• Participate in emergency call-out rosters.
• Build professional relationships with Facilities Managers and client staff.
• Promote safe working practices and best-practice methods.
• Undertake other tasks as required by supervisors.
