Job summary

Aerospike, Inc. is seeking a technically sharp Solutions Engineer to drive adoption of its real-time data platform across North America.

In this pre-sales role, you will partner with account teams and executives to design scalable architectures and translate complex requirements into compelling value propositions. You will serve as the principal technical advisor throughout the sales lifecycle, from discovery and design to POC governance and deployment strategy.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate executive presence and credibility with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for C-level audiences.
• Deep knowledge of NoSQL, relational databases, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on Linux experience and understanding of high-concurrency, high-throughput systems.
• Experience guiding architecture reviews, POCs, and technical evaluations.
• Background as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Principal Consultant in fast-growing tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and design multi-region architectures addressing scale and latency requirements.
• Explain data-plane concepts and guide decision-making to non-technical audiences.
• Connect architectural choices to business value, ROI, and customer strategy.
• Design and lead POCs, benchmarks, whiteboard sessions, demos, and architecture reviews.
• Partner with Account Executives to shape deal strategy and stakeholder alignment.
• Troubleshoot customer problems and craft practical, scalable solutions.
• Capture customer requirements to inform Product Management and Engineering.
• Represent Aerospike in architecture workshops, meetups, and events.
• Code with credibility in core languages such as Java, C/C++, Python, or Go.
