Job description

Ford Credit Europe is transforming how customers access vehicle finance. As an Enterprise / Solution Architect in the Global Architecture team, you will play a key role in designing and developing the next generation of financial platforms. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams in Europe and India, providing architectural design, technology solutions, and guidance across various applications and technologies, ensuring alignment with global standards and strategies.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Selection Criteria:

1. Extensive experience in IT architecture or software engineering roles.
2. Hands-on experience in Enterprise or Solution Architecture.
3. Evidence of continuous personal technical development (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Architect certification or equivalent).
4. Deep technical expertise in designing architectures for digital front-end and back-end platforms, ideally with technologies such as React, Java Spring Boot, Apollo GraphQL, Kafka / PubSub, PostgreSQL, BigQuery.
5. Experience migrating, designing, and building applications in modern cloud environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform.
6. Knowledge of enterprise frameworks, architecture design patterns, secure interoperability standards, and architecture tools and processes.
7. Awareness of emerging technology trends and their practical application in enterprise landscapes. Banking and Financial sector experience is preferred.
8. Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to present architectural proposals to diverse audiences.
9. Capability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education is valued; a degree is preferred, but extensive relevant experience and skills are also considered.
