We are currently supporting one of the UK's leading utilities providers, who are seeking a highly analytical Business Solution Architect to act as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for capturing business needs, identifying solution options, and developing robust business cases—including pricing models—that support strategic decision-making and investment planning.

This role plays a vital part in shaping and evaluating initiatives within a complex, safety-critical environment. Prior experience in thenuclear energy sectoris essential, with a deep understanding of regulatory, operational, and commercial frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholdersto understand strategic and operational objectives, pain points, and requirements.
• Elicit, document, and analyse business requirementsusing interviews, workshops, and data analysis.
• Translate business needs into solution designsthat include workflows, system architecture, and integration points.
• Develop business casesthat outline the rationale for proposed solutions, including expected benefits, risks, and return on investment.
• Create pricing models and cost estimatesin collaboration with finance and delivery teams.
• Present findings and proposalsto senior management and executive stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Partner with technical teams to ensure alignment between business needs and solution delivery.
• Support vendor selection, solution evaluation, and contract review where applicable.
• Maintain a repository of business cases, project briefs, and solution documentation for audit and planning purposes.
• Navigate and comply withnuclear sector-specific regulations and governance structures.

Required Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience inbusiness case development, including financial modelling and ROI analysis.
• Familiarity with nuclear regulatory and operational frameworks in the UK.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
• Experience with business process modelling and solution design techniques.
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and enterprise architecture principles.
