Job summary

Anthropic is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with strategic enterprise customers, design, build, and ship production AI applications powered by Claude models. You will pair hands-on engineering with customer-facing responsibilities, deliver high‑touch deployment support, and codify repeatable deployment patterns for Product and Engineering.

This role requires frequent travel (25–50%), a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and the ability to operate autonomously in complex enterprise

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role.
• Production experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale.
• Strong programming skills in Python; experience with TypeScript or Java.
• Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguity and collaborate across organizations.
• Strong communication skills for discovery and explaining technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in enterprise verticals or enterprise IT systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build production applications within customer systems using Claude models.
• Deliver technical artifacts for production workflows (e.g., MCP servers, sub-agents, agent skills).
• Provide high-touch deployment and operational support for enterprise customers.
• Identify, codify, and communicate repeatable deployment patterns back to Product and Engineering.
• Maintain knowledge of LLM capabilities, implementation patterns, and AI product stacks.
• Build long-term customer relationships and surface new opportunities for AI deployment.
• Travel frequently (estimated 25–50%) to work on-site with customers.
